Keeping the 80s hip hop train rolling, we stop on a damn larger than life icon – LL COOL J! A much different guy than we know him now, we travel back to a rather big left turn for the whole genre with a “rap ballad” that met success across all sorts of borders and territories. “I Need Love” is a classic now and you know the beat by heart, but it wasn’t so much then.
Peter Paras rejoins as we look at LL Cool J and talk about some of his contemporaries of the time too.
