People talk about the 1980s and “The Coreys” ; they are usually just referring to a pair of fellas. However, I argue there are 3. Corey Hart was a Canadian phenom that burst onto the scene with the synth soaked anthem “Sunglasses at Night”.

This music video is just as goofy as the song, but it’s also super rad in that way. Also super rad is James Oster who has relished the opportunity to discuss both Corey Hart and this song. We have a pretty good back and forth about this one.

Due to copyright and fair use laws as well as Apple and Spotify sweeps for such things, I’m not going to roll the dice and be including a clip of the song in the episode. However, you can watch the entire video before listening right here.

The Brandon Peters Show will return Monday 6/14 with The Girl With The Red Scarf (1977) to begin the World Film Project with special guest Sharareh Drury (The Hollywood Reporter).
