On Thanksgiving night, a time honored tradition as I wait for the minutes to tick down for the Vinegar Syndrome and Severin Films Black Friday Blu-ray sales is to watch the 1987 slasher classic Blood Rage (also known as A Nightmare at Shadow Woods or simply – Slasher). I discovered this flick when Arrow Video released it on Blu-ray in 2015. There’s a long time myth that Thanksgiving was the only holiday the slasher/horror genres hadn’t had a movie set to until Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving trailer (now a full fledged feature film) as a part of Grindhouse. Obviously this is false.

Yancy Berns returns to the show for the first time since Yancy’s Tales From The Video Store last year as part of The Summer of 93 at 30. He and I talk about the holiday Thanksgiving itself and have a fun discussion on the film.

Please note: There will be no episode next week as I will be doing documentary work at Chicago Tardis and haven’t been able to get an episode in. We’ll be okay though, I shall return!
