Russell McGee is a friendship I’ve fortunate to have forged years ago. I met him at a Pop Con, spent an hour talking about Doctor Who and Blu-ray collecting, had him onto my old show and the rest is history. Fitting that he first guested on Cult Cinema Cavalcade for the first episode of 2018 which was Doctor Who and the Daleks as he’s now showing up here for the first time with that film’s sequel as the first episode of 2021.
Russell is an audio editor at Big Finish and has had himself knee deep in the Doctor Who mythos. He’s edited stories and actor audio for such legends as TOM BAKER, Lalla Ward, Louise Jameson, Nic Briggs and Sophie Aldred.
As you all know, I’m eager for any opportunity to talk about Doctor Who, even if it is the non-canon Peter Cushing films. Being as Cushing is one of my favorite actors ever, I find these fun and fascinating. Plus this is a good teaser for something coming next month on the show.
