I’m sidestepping The Summer of 2015 at 10 for an episode this week as I’ve been wanting to have a Dave Matthews Band discussion on this show for sometime now. If you didn’t already know, I have a superfandom in this realm having seen them 80 times now and loads of statistical knowledge and history in my head about them. Their 2005 album Stand Up turned 20 years old this summer and it’s proven a divisive one at times among the fandom.

I couldn’t think of a better copilot for this journey back than Renae Lipsmeyer who produces and hosts The Space Between Podcast which focuses on fandom sharing their passion for the band. Renae has such a good, positive thinking head on her shoulders when approaching DMB that she is the PERFECT fit for The Brandon Peters Show.

Forewarning, this discussion is possibly not new user friendly when it comes to DMB, but maybe it is and maybe it intrigues you to check some stuff out. Renae and I “Dive In” pretty hardcore into sharing our own tales as we look back at this album’s journey and the songs that made it what it is. I appreciate any of you checking it out and hopefully we will say “Hello Again” to more DMB episodes (and Renae!) in the future!
