Troy Brownfield becomes the first guest to return for a third time However, he’s somehow managed to not be on a regular episode proper yet. He was a part of the first roundtable and then appeared during the Holiday Gift Guide series. So now, he’s checking that off his list.

He’s brought 80s sword and sorcery classic Hawk The Slayer to the forum to discuss. In my older age here, I’ve actually come to appreciate this era of fantasy film and really found a fondness and appreciation for a lot of the stuff many would consider “junk”.

Troy recently wrote an article about this period in film and Hawk The Slayer is one of his favorites. It was great to share an appreciation and understanding for the film and ones like it from this time.

I must mention the recent run on this show has been up, down and all round and I’m SO HERE FORT IT. That’s part of the majesty for this first year is that its had a breakneck streak and you really never know what you’re going to have next.
