John Rocha is one of the most treasured friendships I’ve made in this journey called life. We both worked in DVD Quality Control as I’d mentioned many times already going through the life of this show. “Johnny” as I’d call him, was the esteemed actor of the group, being the one that had the most opportunities and a big drive.
He broke into his thespian years with a role in John Woo’s The Windtalkers and when I met him, he landed his next big role, a guest spot on TV’s Charmed (The original one). He’s had a varied career and now is a media personality, having risen to some fame over at Collider, notably a fame figure and champion on the popular movie trivia program Schmoedown.
Now, he’s building his own empire. Using his moniker, “The Outlaw”, he’s begun The Outlaw Nation which is a network (found on YouTube), housing many programs that are extensions of his expertise and personality. Movies, sports, politics, all can be found there with great guests and discussion.
Perfectly fitting is that he chose Sergio Leone’s 1966 film The Good, The Bad and The Ugly for us to discuss. As per usual our discussion of the film launches off into a bit of another conversation, but as with Johnny and I, its engaging, thoughtful and entertaining.
