I found my guest, Sharai Bohannon, very recently through a toxic scenario she exposed over the Twitter universe. While that was the reason I found her to connect, she’s a person who has SO MUCH to offer. Even beyond her very fun horror podcast, A Nightmare On Fierce Street.
Sharai has lots of talents and she has a pretty extensive and successful theater background. She’s even had one of her productions put on in London. And, the mind in that skull of hers is quite brilliant and we had outstanding discussions of all things deep and all things silly and fun at the same time. I say this as a compliment; I had to cut a lot out of this episode.
She chose 1993’s The Meteor Man to bring to the show and I was excited to revisit and talk about Robert Townsend on the show. The film holds up quite well and features a loaded cast and a filmmaker/actor/writer/producer powerhouse who maybe has drifted from pop culture awareness since the 90s, but one people SHOULD really look back to. A very exciting episode indeed.
