Since the inception of this program, one topic that has lingered on my list of “must do episodes” has been looking back on the 2009 film Soul Killer. This was the first film I worked on when I arrived in Los Angeles back in 2005. I literally lived there for 2 weeks and was working on a movie set. On that day I met his episode’s guest writer/director Bob Canode and star Kelly Chambers. I would go on to work on the film during multiple shoots either running sound or operating a boom mic. In a few scenes I did some background acting. Bob even made sure to kill me in one.
I wanted to go back down memory lane with the two of them and recollect on the film, which is somewhat of an undiscovered treasure. The time was especially prescient to check this one off as they are currently in production on the sequel – Soul Killer 2 – as we speak. They share a little bit of what is happening with that production best they can.
