Being a podcaster, people wonder what I myself listen to in the podcast realm. It’s not much honestly, but one program I never miss an episode of is Radio Free Skaro. Of course that’s no surprise with my Doctor Who fandom, but the show keeps me coming back because of its production value, level headedness of the hosts and the more interesting aspects in which it tackles the now 58 year old program.

So, I reached out to its creator, Steven Schapansky, to come on the show. I admire Steven’s work in podcasting quite a bit as he has a very well rounded approach and understanding of what makes things tick. In addition to Radio Free Skaro, he also has other terrific Doctor Who shows as well (Lazy Doctor Who, Doctor Who: The Memory Cheats).

Steven brought to the table This Is Spinal Tap, one of the finest and most influential comedies ever made. We have a pretty rich discussion on the film, but we also talk A LOT about Doctor Who which is to be expected. I hope you enjoy this episode that was a delight to have on a podcaster that I respect and actually listen to regularly myself, only to find he’s just as wonderful a human as he comes off on during his show.
