This week, we shift our gears on the show for an idea I had around launch. As an avid Black Friday Blu-ray shopping enthusiast and someone who is a bit specific in my interests when it comes to buying gifts for during the holiday season, I thought it would be cool to have some episodes for those like me or those buying for one like me.
The Holiday Gift Guide aims at providing some suggestions, standouts, deals and rounding all the material up into one spot intended to save you some time and give you some ideas. And it wound up being a lot of fun to record.
Our first installment focuses on games. Primarily video games, though board games do creep in for a brief second. Perhaps next year (If I do this again), we can have a segment for that. We take a look at some of the best games released this year, the best deals and some of the titles that are just flat out good buys no matter how old or how expensive they are.
Nick Rust, a longtime colleague and host of Literate Gamer joins me to guide us through these waters. A fun bit of trivia, Nick appeared on a live episode of m former show that never aired. We talk about that, his show, and he provides some good knowledge on how to approach these sales and what to pick.
