This first series of Old Space Show will be the first Season of Space: 1999.
“Old Space Show” is a term I commonly heard growing up when people who weren’t nerds like me would refer to stuff like Star Trek or Battlestar Galactica or the like. Personally, I love diving into genre television from the past. This segment on the show will allow me to do so. It will probably be the most recurring of the ones that aren’t on a regular schedule of release. While called Old Space Show, it won’t be limited to such and can cover all genre grounds like horror, time travel or avante garde. Its honestly just a term I felt fond of using and am using it. I’ll be joined by a guest that will join along for the length of each show exploration.
Jim Dietz from the Nothing’s On Podcast and the HHWLOD Network will be climbing on board as my Co-Captain for the first season of Space: 1999.
Space: 1999 is a show that I found myself always curious about. I was sent the full series set for review by Shout! Factory a few years back, but was only able to sample it in time for the review deadline. Now, as a part of this show, I’m going to be able and take it and discuss with Jim episode by episode.
I hope you enjoy this run of Old Space Show. Is there an “old space show” you’d like me to cover in the future. Please contact and let me know.
The Brandon Peters Show will return Friday (9/25) to close the week with song.
